My love for painting landscapes began as a young girl growing up in New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, where I first started painting in the beautiful environment of northern New Mexico. I use a combination of palette knife and vigorous brushwork with bold colors to express my translation of the scene. Like many artists, I was moved by the spectacular vistas and colors that you see in nature. My paintings have been described as evoking a feeling of loneliness embraced by mysterious beauty.

I was born in beautiful Guanajuato, Mexico. When I was 5 years old, my parents decided to move to Mazatlán. Growing up on the Pacific Coast I fell in love with the ocean, but I always had the desire to go back to Guanajuato to pursuit my dream of becoming an Architect. At 18 years old, I moved to Guanajuato and began my college degree in Architecture at the University of Guanajuato. During college, I rediscovered my passion for painting. I lived and worked as an Architect in various cities, ending in Tijuana, Mexico. I've always had, and still have, a passion for arts, building, design and creativity.

I’ve always been fascinated by patterns and design, and as a little kid, blocks were my favorite toy. Playing with blocks led to drawing shapes and geometric patterns. I’ve always been fascinated by patterns and design, and as a little kid, blocks were my favorite toy. Playing with blocks led to drawing shapes and geometric patterns. My fondest memory of a family trip to Germany was finding graph paper with lines spaced by the millimeter. Before that, the smallest I could ever find was 10 squares per inch. I graduated from NYIT in New York with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology and spent most of my career working in various facets of the lighting design industry. After moving to Palm Springs from San Francisco, I worked in design before continuing my education and obtaining my MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Riverside California.
